Hi! So me and my friends have been playing Mordheim for quite a while now and this got me interested in SBG I joined this forum before christmas and started a thread in the beginner forum asking what to get for a wood elf army. Well, yesterday I went to GW: Stockholm and bougth my first WEW Of course, I had to try a color scheme on one and here is the result! I hope this will be a nice little PLOG about my progress into SBG Sry for bad pictures, only have the camera on my cellphone :/ |

If this is your first attempt at miniature painting you have a serious talent - the highlights tho a tad stark are all exactly where they should be. Colour choice is excellent and the base is authentic looking. I see a future painting challenge contender here. Keep painting!!! EDIT: After looking over the pics again I take back my comment about the highlights being a little stark - they aren't at all it is the flash in one particular picture. |

It isnt my first miniature, just my first LOTR one I have been into to hobby for about 10 months I think. So I have painted before, but only warhammer fantasy And yes, it's probably the flash from the camera Ty both for the kind words I have clean all the moldline on the rest of my WEW now and started basing some of them |

I love your paint scheme, much better than gw. I'll be using that for my sentinels definately |

You're very welcome I've always use high elves before, and i've now got some sentinels on order, and thast paint scheme really appeals to me, and the greens and browns seem more realistic than the blue gw use (they do live in a wood, after all) |

If it would have been a more muted blue it would have been better. All the other colours seems like colours that would help with camoflauge and are easy to find dies in nature to get cloth that colour. My scheme is good for camouflage except for the purple maybe. But the pruple on all my modells I hope will look like it's natural atleast |

I agree totaly. I might switch the purple for a dark blue (kantor blue) to go with my high elves |
