I have finally started on my WoMT. Sorry for the terrible pictures, all I have is my phone right now

I wanted to get the faces done first since it is such a small area.

Cool! Perhaps next time you could try to drybrush the chain mail, as it will look better than just a basecoat and a wash (in my opinion).

As CyberAlien312 says a nuln oil wah over the armour areas followed by a chainmail drybrush will really add something to the model. So far so good tho and the face is extremely well done.

Hmm dont worry about the first one you have done. Start with a darker silver (chainmail) and then wash with badab black and then highlight the armour with mithril silver leaving the natural shadows etc. Sorry i dont know the new paints names. Apart from that good so far. There are lots of painting guides out there if you are not sure - you just have to search for them. :) 8)

Quick update. I applied a black wash last night before I went to sleep. Sorry the picture is so bright, the flash on my phone was on. Let me know what you think so far!! Next up is the armour highlights :o

This one probably the best picture in the bunch

Thanks everyone for the great comments! I appreciate your encouragement and suggestions, it keeps me motivated!! Unfortunately the camera I have is my phone so the pictures are coming out much much brighter than they really are

The wash certainly makes a difference and a highlight or light dry brush will finish the job nicely.

Never underestimate the power of washing !! Looks great so far. These are some of my favorite models in the range. Mostly because with a little care and paint, they can turn out to be so amazing.

Good work!

Great work so far. Maybe another wash on the armour before highlighting but that's up to you. Minis are always brighter in photos than in real life I find - even with a good camera. And the background can make a big difference too (if you want the mini to look darker put a light background behind it and vice versa - the camera will compensate for the light). If you want to put a lot of effort into it you can build a light box - though I haven't bothered to yet!
Keep up the great painting!!

Another quick update ... almost done!! I haven't been able to paint as much as I would like lately. I am having trouble with the highlights on the armour as well as the tunic. :(

I am not 100% happy with it but I suppose its a start. Please let me know what you think!! Thanks!

Quick Update:

Just some touch ups with black and then highlights for the tunics left to do. I have to play around with colors for the bases, I would like to have an Osgiliath feel to them. Picture isn't great, sorry!

Let me know what you all think!!

Here is another update, I haven't been good about posting updates. Kind of boring I know but I need to get the masses done before I can get to my calvary/heroes. :o I also need to start thinking about bases (i.e. colors to represent Osgiliath)

Please let me know what ya think! Thanks for checking it out!!
