I think better camera could do the trick. Silhouette is the only thing I see. Edit: Oh I almost forgot: Welcome, welcome! |

Welcome to the hobby! You really can't see any detail in those pictures. |

Welcome to the One-Ring. Your photography will improve here, along with your painting, and you will probably get the gaming bug from KK and some of the other guys. It's all good fun. |

Well, "S" it seems that you're doing well. Starting off nicely, I really like the Warrior of Minas Tirith there. It looks like you've done his clothing in green, is that the case? Anyway, as others have said I wouldn't count the game out just yet. It's a great one, and you have a good mentor. Knighty is indeed a top-shelf chap! |

KnightyKnight- thank you! you've been really helpful, I really appreciate it and... well... it was *very* fun slaughtering goblins heheh.... Morbag_the_Orc- close-ups on my phone camera would be difficult, because it gets incredibly blurry, even more so than it already is, but I can give it a try Lord Hurin- thank you very much the Minas Tirith warrior does have green clothing, yes. And, well... I agree Knighty is a top-shelf chap |

Your painting looks smooth from what I can see on the photos. Are you watering your paints down ? You want a milky consistency. As an example, when I apply a basecoat it takes three coats to create a smooth finish. The important thing is that no detail is obscured by thick paint. Also have only enough paint on your brush so it virtually dries as your stroke finishes, it does slow down completion but is well worth the effort. Don't allow paints to pool on the figure, it will completely ruin the look. |

Gandlaf the Grey- thank you! I haven't been watering paints down, but I have been aware that splooshing too much paint on isn't going to be a good idea- but I might give watering paint down a try, if it's helpful and thank you very much for the tips and advice |

Believe me, it is a must to water down your paints if you want anything like a decent finish to them, plus it makes the paint last longer. |
