Forgive me if this already exists, but I was thinking it would be nice to have a thread where people can post pictures of completed (or near completed) armies. I can always delete the thread (I think?) if it isn't wanted but I think it would be a nice way of showing everyones achievements in the hobby and indeed providing inspiration to others. I for one love seeing fully painted armies!

I think this is a good idea, and I don't know either if there is anything like it on the forum already.

I don't have fully painted armies just yet, almost completed ones and random bands of painted minis. I'm sure they're more than welcome here too?

Of course they are. I guess its just an excuse to see groups of themed miniatures. I think anything of war band size upwards is great. But yeah, post anything you want.

Yeah I thought of this idea before too, they have a thread dedicated to elves, and dwarves I think, but pretty sure none dedicated to armies. So you should go ahead with this.

I recommend you upkeep the OP though and update with links to posts of members with pictures of their armies. I used to update The Hobby Challenge Archive (Hall of Fame) but now I have sparse time keeping track of things now that I went back to school. So if you plan on being on here as a regular member and you see yourself maintaining this topic, then an Army Showcase thread would be a great idea!

If you can't however maintain a list of links to posts, then perhaps maybe I can do it once every full moon by editing this post, and you just provide a link in the OP to this post to use it as a reference guide.

Anyways all for your idea.

Cool, so you can do it by Members alphabetically with regions beside their names, or by Regions (Mordor, Gondor, etc) and categorize the members beneath each he/she has a posted army of. Or however you wish to categorize it and good luck!

I'll post my army here once I have one near 100% complete. It would be nice to see everyone's hosts in one centralized topic thread.

This sounds like a wonderful idea! Personally, I have a mish-mash of completed figures in my collection right now, but I really want to buckle down this summer and start finishing off some themed forces. This gives me one more excuse to get cracking on the pile of Easterlings sitting on my painting table!
