Hey! What do you people have against a little guyshadow  haha!

Actually I took your advice to heart and cleaned up the eyes and lightened the shadows. One of them with a blade had such a wicked stare though that i only lightened his a little.

Anyway--here they all are finished except for possibly a few cleanup touches here and there before I matt varnish them.

Thanks! For the bases, including the rims, i coat them with Calthan brown, then drybrush Bubonic Brown, then drybrush a mix of Bleached Bone and Skull White. Lastly, a final clean coat of Calthan Brown on the rims.

Thank you. Very simple really: Paint with Shining Gold, wash with black ink(i use P3's Armor Wash, but Badab Black does the same), highlight with burnished gold, then a final highlight of 50/50 mix burnished gold and mithril.

Great work. The cloaks look very nice and the faces look better. I'm looking forwards to seeing how you paint the fellowship. Keep up the good work.

Simply stunning... I wish I could spend the time to get some of my models to look like that.

I've just finished painting the terrain pieces from the Mines of Moria boxed set, and also the Wood Elf Captain. We just used the terrain pieces for the Balin's Tomb scenario from the main rulebook and had a blast.

And a start on the rest of the heroes:

The terrain in particular is very good. I like how you added the browns to the stone and how realistic the books are. I can't believe you actually added the writing but it makes it look really good. 8) Though the corpses could use a little weathering.
You've done also done a good job with the captain. I never liked that sculpt, a little too stubby for an elf, but you've done a good job with it. The shadows on the fletching are a little dark.

Great work on the terrain pieces. I agree with Dwarf Lord of Ered Luin, the books look very nice. The skeletel remains of the one Dwarf also look very good. The faces on your last three Elven heros look fantastic too. Galadriel's face in particular stands out as very well painted. 8)

Thanks. I owe my improvement in face painting to tidoco's fine primer in the painting guides section of One Ring:

Lots of painting this weekend. I've got a good start on Galadriel and the Mirror, and I just finished Haldir. So, some quick picks of Haldir. I'll try to take some better pics later:
