hey I was wondering if anyone had any diagrams for Minas Tirith.. I'm very keen on taking it on. I know it's never beenr taken on & successfully complete from what I've seen. So if anyone had any measurements or what soever it would be very kind of you. Once I've finished my previous castle I'll give it a go, but first I would like to collect some information on it

Thank's In Advance

The Grond breaking the Gate (Id go with this

Legolas in his awesome movie kill of the Mumak (Not Really Gondor But still cool)

Rohan Charging (not really Gondor too)

Part of the wall and siege tower up next to it with orks inside and Gandalf on the wall rallying Gondor Warriors

Certainly impressive. I know that Games Workshop Paris did something similar and sculpted a seven tier Minas Tirith in scale to the minatures (although it looked slightly too green for my tastes).

Just foam-board or otherwise known as styrofoam again - same as the Helm's Deep. Yet I'm thinking making Minas Tirith is just too big to play on.. you can even bend over the thing..

I have seen numerous M.T's being built. Before the demise of TLA, I saw a post from a fellow in Canada that was bulidiing all seven levels, (hand carved) and a gamer in Spain has also completed the first two levels. As far as diagrams, I purchased maps for the LoTR Role playing game that had diagrams for Helm's Deep. Maybe there is a set of maps that include Minas Tirith.
I have some of the movie companion books that have a lot of photos. What are you looking for? If I have it, I could scan it and email it.

I suspect that you might also find that it only works for really big games... I mean, it will be a bit strange to have just fifty orcs assaulting Minas Tirith...

Just to give you an idea of what may be involved (for starters):

hmm yes it is going to be rather large. I would have to keep it outside because I don't see it going throught doors, unless I maybe split it in the middle so you have yo halfs - which then again could be pretty good for smaller scenarios. I would get the basic outline, so make the 7 rings & the walls. Not exactly sure how I'm going to get these buildings constructed in the wall if you know what I mean.. but hey I think I'll take on a challenge. I am most likely going to sell my Helm's Deep when it's finished anyway because there just won't be enough room. Though I am encouraging my dad to help me clear out the garage & make that my own terrain making place :D

Measures 8 feet wide by 48" deep by 35" tall

i hope your project goes well,i don't have diagrams but i do know some interesting stuff if making it to scale(idk if you guys know any of this but i figured it out myself so i'm thrilled)..the outer(and the rest of the tiers)are a hundred feet tall(which translates into 49.95cm or just 50,w/e) so if you wanted to make it like the book you'd have to make the outmost wall black(it was supposed to be the same material as orthanc) and the siege towers(i liked the ones in the movie a lot) would be about 60cm and you'd still have to mount them on wheels and if you were going to be making the whole city(or even a slice of it)from pelennor fields to the base of the tower would be 350cm's (or a about 13 ft)..anyhoo,idk(and idc) if you guys knew any of this but i did the math myself and i hope it helps someone

I'm still very keen on the idea but the problem is space.. and another bigger problem is the styro-foam I had used for Helm's Deep was easy to bend - yet they no longer produce or stock this..

I'm doing a Helm's deep using almost entirely 5 mm foamboard. You can just peel off the paper on the back of the foamboard, then it will curve around the structure perfectly - with liberal use of hot glue. That may be a substitute for styrofoam.

I made my Helm's Deep out of similar stuff, but without the paper (viewtopic.php?f=50&t=16255&start=0) as you see in my thread, but the stuff I used was so much cheaper - like 20 boards for 10 quid. While now these other ones are 5 quid a board..

Foamboard is 5 pounds? That's nuts. Here, it's about $3 CAD a board. IDK about the price of pink insulation foam there, but that's pretty cheap here, about $6 for 16 sqft. You can also carve bricks into it, and it's fairly flexible.

EDIT: I just checked out your helm's deep, and I think that's what you used, or at least something similar. Silly me. :)
