I can't stand it! I used to LOVE the terrain in the original source books, particularly the original terrain with which the Fellowship book was packed. I've spent all day trying to find a link or a pic referring to the old gaming table that featured an elaborate hill for the original Weathertop model (before it was mass-produced), as well as the Buckleberry Ferry in the opposite corner. Pictures of pieces of this board are still all over the place, including the newer cover of the Fellowship source book I think. But finding the whole board or any reference to it at all is proving to be unreasonably difficult. Plus, I've gotten rid of my obsolete rule books and don't have the original 3 source books anymore. Anyone know who designed the table or have a link?

Regards,
Schmendrick

There were two magnificent Weathertop boards. The one in the FotR rulebook was built by Dave Andrews.

Then there is an article about another Weathertop board in the Best of White Dwarf Magazine LotR compilation book (unfortunately long out of print). It says the board was built by Dave Cross and Wayne Elliot.

I think I saw one of them it also on GW site a long time ago. You might be able to find it via http://www.archive.org/ or the Spanish GW site (they never throw anything away).

The old GW site had much more good lotr articles with terrain. Like that beatiful Moria table.
