Hey guys, I'm relativley new around here and I've recentley got back into SBG from 40k and WHFB. Me and my friend are looking at making a gaming board in his attic. We've decided to base the board on the lands of Eregion, Seeing as he will be playing High Elves and I'm playing as Isengard. So what I'm asking of you Folks..... How would you make this board yourselves, and what would you add to the board terrain wise to make it an entertaining battlefield and pleasing on the eye, while still fitting in with the Idea of Eregion? I haven't made a board myself but I would say that modular terrain is the way to go. If it was me making the board then i would make it quite basic to start with and then, with some modular terrain, it could be changed and made differently every time you played. hope this helps |

Well, for Eregion use wild land, like hills, bushes, rocky outcrops, like a wilderniss, and add some ruins of high elf buildings(look at the Rivendel architecture). some wild, fast streams would also be good. Make it look wild is my primary tip, as that is how it is described in the books. |

as Master said...Rocky Outcroppings would be a great start, if you can get from Warhammer the waystones, they would be a great border marker for you. ~Brian |

And don't forget holly trees (or generic bushes...). Holly is the symbol of Eregion, so you should have some of it about, I'd say. |

In the Main book, They have a generator for terrain for Eregion. That might be a good place to start. Make one or two of everything on the list and move from There ~ Brian |

The ruined Elven city of Ost-in-edhil lies in the heart of Eregion, on the banks of the Swanfleet. This was the city of the Noldor and, as Mastermanje said, it's architecture would be similar to Rivendell - but also the Grey Havens. There would also be a Dwarven road rising to the West Gate of Moria. The region's alternative name is "Hollin" which is a derivative of the word "holly" which commonly grows in the region. |
