It is the time of year to be hitting craft stores for miscellaneous terrain ideas. Halloween here in the States brings lots of gargoyles and skull figures and at Michaels, a halloween village. I had bought one of these last year on clearance and went yesterday to buy another to cover my 2ft by 3ft table. It was on sale for 40% off but if not on sale, can usually get a coupon for 50% or even 60% off. If you wait for the end of season when they are clearing them out, the savings can be even more.

As you can see, each package has enough to cover 18" by 39" or 45.7cm by 99cm.



Be warned, the stuff falls off very easy and makes a mess. I took some hairspray to seal it all down. Collect what comes off, you can use it elsewhere.

This would make a quick Pelennor Fields tabletop.
