Post subject:  Battle System Roads (and some fences)
After reading a review of Battle Systems Roads and Rivers at https://thegrumpygnome.home.blog/2021/0 ... ds-rivers/ I decided to buy a set (great blog you should follow)
Since I won't be using the river side, I added some tufts and scatter to the road side.

and since I hadn't done it in awhile, made some pine needle fences

The y section works well for wayposts

The terrain really helps frame those roads. The pictures you've taken really help the mat blend in and look like real terrain. I really like what you've done with these and those roads would be perfect for Gondor though I'm sure they could be pressed into service elsewhere too!

The road pieces look pretty sweet, and your fencing additions are marvelous.

I'll definitely consider Battle Systems when I need some roads. I did like the Grumpy Gnome's idea of washing the colors down a bit and applying a matte coat -- thanks for the link to that site.
