Very useful. The shadow markers are a great idea for more satisfying visuals than just a spare base.

(Truth in advertising: I have been trying to learn the latest edition. But have never played a points match.)

I have bought the editions since the Blue Book but have largely not gamed with them. I like the Blue Book's simplicity and cohesion.

I have also avoided points matches and the tourney scene.
