Wow, very nice job. I thought OR was the best site out there for LotR (The Last Alliance has lots of content, but looks like something the Warg Chief might have coughed up), but now it's better. Very nice clean design.

Maybe it's just my computer (since I just got it cleansed of some nasty problems), but I keep getting a white box on the right hand side blocking some of the post text.

The new topic and reply buttons also have these grey boxes framing them and don't really fit in with the parchment style of the rest of the site...at least on my end.

Cheers,
Wolfy

Wolfy, which browser are you using? If you're using Internet Explorer, which version is it? Some older versions have problems with PNG image files.

I'm not sure what you mean by that Julian. I can do it in my browser by clicking and dragging, o rby holding down the SHIFT key and pressing the arrow keys. Again, which browser and version are you using?

Nice work! This new layout seems to be a step forward from the old one... even more if it helps to improve the loading speed and all. Great excuse to have some new functions too!

I noticed that the Links page is gone and the emoticons arent working for me either....

Also, the homepage news item about the awards seems to be missing the first couple of paragraphs... The original post is slightly different. Is it some sort of glitch with that particular (new) function or was it intentional?

And also in the homepage, the 'latest gallery images' are not showing any thumbnail, just the name and author. Not sure if its supposed to be that way.

If you click the IP admin button the page loads totally weird... and is there any chance of getting rid of that stuff of legends but also very very annoying green background on the admin panel? You know you hate it! :P

I'll keep my eyes open for bugs. I'm using Firefox.

Great work! This site just keeps getting better and better! Thanks for that!

Thanks Mac. I thought I'd fixed the home page news item thingy, but I'd only done half the job. Thanks for the heads up - should be working now.

The gallery images aren't working for some bizarre reason and I've put that aside until I get a few more minutes to spare to track down the bug properly. And I had left all of the admin stuff until last since I couldn't test any of it on my home pc, so the admin pages still look awful, sorry. I'll get there eventually, but I'll fix up all of the main site bugs first.

The emoticon you used in your post works for me, and I can see them when I post a reply. Ah wait, do you mean they don't go into the text box when you click on them? Ok, that's a surprise. Same goes for the bbCode buttons. Hmm, that's my next job then!

Great work Alan

It's easy to navigate around, looks good and I like the 'View posts' - this makes it easy to catch up on what's new.

Keep up the great work!

Paul

Well done Dagorlad! The new website's great! :D
Apparently, the page used for previewing a PM doen't exist, although this computer isn't the best in the world, so if the page does exist i'll blame it all on the computer (the PM preview page not working, not your amazing work)

It looks wonderful, Alan!

Special K’s indeed…. I love those ever changing banners. It feels like the ‘mood’ of the site is changing with them – only so slightly. But IMO these welcoming words are really a Great Find (I believe them to be yours)! It is no easy matter to summarize the ‘intention’ of a website in a few lines, and of course we all ‘know’ already what the One Ring feels like… “thriving and family-safe”. It looks natural once it’s written down, but it might have been hard to find the exact phrasing.

Now before you start thinking you’re the only poet around, let’s say that Joansean is equally gifted with the ability to express a shared opinion! :yay:
