Yes, it's happening! I'm working on getting the site back together properly and making it LOOK like a LOTR site again. I miss the old site as much as everyone else, but have been suffering from a bit of burn-out in the past few months. But now that I am back from my holidays, refreshed and ready to make a new start, things will start to happen! The tough part will be doing all the graphics to make us look nice and Middle-earthy, and of course adding back in some of the nice features of the original site. No timeframes are offered though - it will have to be done to fit in with real life and other demands on my time, but as at this moment, the OR has my undivided attention. |

I'm in the process of uploading a couple of forum styles (or 'skins' as they are sometimes known) to see how the full site works with them and what they look like on different browsers/screen resolutions etc. If you feel like a peek at them, you can change your forum style in your user control panel/board preferences tab. Just be aware that the article library and gallery won't work, and that the style may be deleted without notice as I change things. |

The style called "OneRingV3" will be the one that will eventually be used for the site and it will be a mixture of the 'Weapons and Adventure' and 'Afterburner' styles. We'll be having a menu down the left with the forum content on the right, but it will look all "Lord of the Ringsy." |

This change is just the first step towards upgrading the site. It's mainly just some maintenance, ensuring we have the latest versions of each software package in place before I get on and change the graphics. There may be an extra bit of functionality added, just to keep you all happy, but I won't let on what that will be - you'll just have to wait. |

For a few weeks now all the nice looking stuff has disappeared. Message views no longer have a "next thread" link and the board header is just the phpBB blue. Do I need to change a setting somewhere? |

The OneRingV3 theme has been removed while it's being changed I believe. |

Yep, in order to get the chatbox and a couple of other things working, I needed to remove the ORv3 theme while I make significant changes to it. And by way of an update, I've got one or two additional things ready to upload now, but I need to take a break for a while due to increased work pressures. A key person has suddenly resigned at the worst moment possible - and your's truly is the one person who can fill his shoes. This means I will be extremely busy up every day until Christmas, and probably for a few weeks afterwards too. Poo. |
