So what happened?

The site was down due to an unannounced upgrade to the servers of the hosting company (www.powweb.com). Once upon a time they used to let me know in advance when they were doing stuff like this, but apparently 'courtesy' and 'customer service' are soooo 20th century.

Sorry for this, but there was nothing much I could do about it.

I guess I didn't try to get on when it was down, becuase I didn't even notice. But thanks for the heads up for those who were affected anyways. (I know in the past when I have seen that it's down I'm always glad if there's an explanation.) 8)

Yes I second that.
Was just worried the site had been hacked again.

There is always a possibility of a hack but Alan keeps a careful eye on Security updates etc. so the probability is fairly low.

If anybody finds a problem logging on or gets an error message it's always worth e-mailing one of the team to make them aware of any issue.

It might be a local issue for you but it's always worth flagging it up.
