Agree with Xelee 5 company formations of Carn Dum are better, leaving you with 2 companies left over.
You have a lot of epics for 1000 pts, all very solid but because of this I think you need to optimise you troop types with the points you have left.
This brings me to the numenoreans, you are over your allied points anyway, so I would look at these and see what they bring to your army.
210 pts, another 3 companies of Carn Dum for 3x5 formations (or allied Dunland for more reliable Barbarians) 90pts. 3 companies of wargs 75pts, and 2 companies of orc bow 40 pts. Or even some Carn Dum levy (ruffians) :-D
Give you some firepower and a bit more mobility. If you want def7 troops, str4 orcs would be a better choice.

Or you could swap one formation of Black Numenoreans for Morgul Knights. You get cheaper cavalry than ghostly riders, with heavier armour and lances, and they look Angmarish anyway, and/or Morgul Stalkers for their ambushing ability. Your choice of the Dwimmerlaik, the Tainted, Buhrdur and Thyrdan for 1,000pts makes sense. I also agree about Carn Dum

Don't use black numenorean, harad raiders with bows, mahud, mounted khand, harad foot without bows. Do use arbalesters, mumak, harad w bows, easterlings.

now gotten a dwarf list :D , what do you think of it:
2x4 comps dwarf warriors with 2h's and captains
2x4 comps dwarf warriors with shields and captains
4 comps Murin's Guard
4 comps dwarf rangers with captain
2 comps dwarf balistea
3 comps Khazad Guard
Balin
Dain
Deorwine(Oin)
change 1 dwarf formation in moria expeditionaries and another balistacompany against misty mountains, change 1 dwarf formation into ancient iron guard against mordor, otherwise a 2 comps formation of dwarves with shields
The Tactics:
the shield formations (with murin's guard) form a shield for the 2 handers (with the khazad guard) and Dain is deployed in the khazad guard formation, Balin in Murin's guard and Oin in the right shield formation.
the balistea are deployed in a defensable structure deployed on the right, so they can hit them in their flanks and don't have some dwarves blocking their sight
the rangers are kept behind the Khazad guard and go to my enemy's flank to hail them with throwing axes(they are stronger than bows).
when i get close enough(on charge distance) the shield formations make place for the 2 handers and they all charge.
the rangers flank charge the enemies and the balistae keep firing at the flanks and archers of the enemy(or at artillery).
when deorwine is likely to get challenged, he calls an epic sacrifice and heroic fight to let me stil win that combat
Dain and Balin keep challenging enemy heroes (but dain also spends 2 might points at epic rampages with the Khazad Guard).

okay, please say what you think of this list. :gimli: :gimli: :gimli: :gimli: :gimli: :gimli: :gimli:

Would be a good idea to swap someone for Floi if you want... If his co-operate well with Dain you can have endless might...

Most people will say that Khazad Guard are way better than Iron Guard for the sme cost in WOTR. What you could do with though is more Khazads. Also, if you're likely to be facing Mordor, than ballistas are probably not the way to go, all a wraith (or any darkness caster) needs to do is cast the easy to cast SfC on them and chances are that's a compant of ballistas dead. If they have more than one darkness caster, they'd be lucky to survive for more than a turn.

Sadly, I think this is true. However, they are a pretty good unit and might work if the dwarf player was being suitably aggressive and pressuring the Evil player with multiple units of Dwarves everywhere? I know that if I was playing against Dwarves I'd be carefully watching the position of their high strength/2HW troops in case a hero was going to drop-in to them and throw an Epic Rampage against where-ever valuable Wraiths (though not Khamul, obviously) were based. Things like Epic Challenge could even pin them back from artillery?

okay, what's kind of the minimum numbers of companies and formations?
for ATD, would it be a good option placing shieldbearers in my army?
Is it a good option to use an Army Banner and banner bearers in my charging units?
Should I use ranged units(and when you say yes, wich, the dwarf rangers(with throwing weapons or bows) or the dwarf archers(the ones with shortbows))
if you have an answer on one of these questions, or another tip, please say
Thanx
