Does cirdan of the havens special rule only count if he's in a formation of elves or can it be any allied formation . I guess the same question applies to malbeth . |

Looking at the rule book it doesn't say that his special ability is only useable for Elves, so I would say yes his SA would be useable as an ally. |

It's like if you Ally Gimli into your Elven army, you can still utilise his Baruk Khazad Special ability. |

Malbeth can't leave his formation, so it's a moot point asking which his apply to. |
