Just wanted your thoughts on this. Golum is assigned to an enemy infantry formation at the start of the game. As he is an epic hero could he move into a different enemy formation as a normal epic hero would change formations? I ask as this issue came up in our last game. His assigned formation was about to be destroyed so we wondered what would happen to gollum.Could he escape in the move phase by moving to another formation in range or does he skulk of on his own out of the game when the formaton is destroyed? |

I'm pretty sure you can move him but you do so in YOUR move phase. He's still your model after all. You just deploy him in the enemy formation. |

As I recall, the FAQ addresses this. Sort of. The FAQ says he moves to other formations just like a regular Epic Hero. It doesn't really address his (or Grima's) special deployment though. Most people seem to agree with Beowulf, you move him during your move phase to another enemy formation. |

A. Yes. Note that he is still subject to the normal rules for moving Epic Heroes with the following exceptions; he can only move to another enemy formation rather than a friendly formation and he can move at any point during your Move phase rather than when the formation he is in moves. |

Thanks for pointing that out. Your welcome, it only says it for Grima not Gollum though, they didn't see the need to write the same thing twice. And yes it was a last minute addition (On an unrelated note FL, I now agree with you about Gothmog) |

Well, I was studying the WOTR rules the other day, and I was thinking about Epic Strike Duels (and also about Rohan heroes but thats irrelevant) and then something about the interaction of Heroic and Epic actions hit me, and then I just thought, lets have another look at Gothmog and then I changed my mind. (Also, because he would be 125pts if he didn't not 110pts, but thats also irrelevant). |

We were discussing firstly if aragorn calls epic duel / strike wins the roll off, does gothmog benifit from fight 10 now or later when / if he calls a duel back?. And second can gothmog call the duel back at aragorn since aragorns been involved in a duel already? |

I'd suggest moving Gothmog questions to another thread as they pretty much dominate whenever they are brought up. Gollum wouldn't be pleased...no my precious...he wouldn't would he? |
