Very hard to choose between a few of them, but I went for harfoot in the end.

Indeed, all great entries! The painting, I thought, is actually very good on all of them, not too much difference! I went for Joshuar_au in the end, because he really made his model stand out.

This has been my most difficult choice ever. The standard is great and everyone should take a special medal home as reward.
In the end it was a close run battle between Harfoot and Gene with the latter just pipping the post. The wargs head was the difference. This area seems a truly difficult one to get right but Gene has done one of the best I have seen and it is that which won the day for me.
Once again, great work everyone.

Had a hard choice to make between Harfoot and Gene parmesan, but in the end went for Harfoot. Really liked how the head of the Warg was done, and his rider is fittingly ugly. The orc's skin even looks gooey, which I really liked. xP

Bilbo gets my vote, due to the lack of more and bigger photos my vote almost went to Gene but the skintone of the orc and it's subtle highlights saved it.

Wow, really stiff competition this month, really hard to choose between the entries.

I love the dripping saliva effect that Joshuar has managed, but in the end my vote had to go to gene because I think the highlighting on the warg really stands out as the best.

Really great entries this month, well done to all who took part. For me though it has to be Harfoot, great model with a superb paint job. I loved it as soon as I saw it on the WIP thread and my feelings haven't changed. Gorgeous, muted colours combine for a really neat yet dirty effect - bravo!

Joshuar has nicely painted and is original with the Warg Chief mounted and on top of a dead Rohirrim. Plus saliva effect is wicked. Harfoot was a close one also, very well painted. Great job by everyone.

Nice work Gene, thanks for everyone's comments and votes, it really does encourage me to paint better.
Excellent entries by everybody.

Looking forward to November's competition, hoping it's the Warbands so I can enter the Men of Dale.

Thanks for the votes and kind words. I postponed the breaking bad finale to get the guy painted up. Well done to all the entries. Gonna sit this month out because of personal strife, but I look forward to November's comp.
