I'll be entering my recently converted uruk-hai banner:

It'll be the last piece of my uruk army that I've been working on over the holidays

Sorry nope the Arbelasters shield is a shield and not a banner as such. Completely different to Khand which have a flag/banner on their backs. Sorry mate

Surely you mean a BOSUN with a fancy looking shield, as he does actually count as a banner. I know it's in the rules that the counts as aren't eligible, but if you convert a fancy shield for him, would that be ok?

There is quite a lot of scope for a Hobbit banner conversion, if anyone is willing to fly the flag? Arf, ary, no seriously, a hunter orc or Erebor banner would be cool to see!

@Draugluin - the theme this month is banners bud. A shield is not a banner and it is irrelevant if the character "counts as" a banner. There must be a banner on the model. I have tried to be helpful by allowing models with the smallest banners possible such as the mumak lol..2 tiny banners on a huge elephant and khand which have the back banners. I'm sorry shields are a no go for this one.

I was just responding to Gothmog about how if he was going to try to make a banner out of shield, it would be the bosun but not the arbelesters.

This is my months entry. I hope it is okey that I started on the banner?
And I curse the inventor of finecast! The banner was snapped of from the spear and one foot was snapped of from the model. Whish I had not mailed ordered it so I could have shown a GW store this bad quailty /o\

Cruci, you can still take it back to the shop even if it was mail-ordered off the website. Although you couldn't now because it is painted.

It's touch and go but it looks like I won't finish in time. I'm away at the end of the month and got loads of life stuff to do.
My banner figure is about halfway through and taking shape nicely but it's that precious thing time that's hard to find.

First I got a twengar font on MS word and copied the phrase from there. The brush work itself was pretty tricky but certainly manageable with a nice small brush. Being a glutton for punishment I then decided to go over it all again with a highlight to bring out the dips and folds in the banner.
