Time to decide what you would like to paint for the March Challenge.

That is funny, I just bought all of those. I don't want to paint any of them. I will have to think on this, see which way the votes swing.

I had to be Leggy because the old models of him and his dad are the only listed ones I own

Voted for Beorn. Warband kicked my tail. I won't be getting it finished in time. Hopefully, GW will release the bear-form Beorn and I can paint both at once.

Well, I can't enter anyway. All the DOS stuff I ordered is being held (a few weeks) because some of the items are out of stock.

Since everything I ordered came out in the last couple months that is a good sign that sales are out doing what GW is producing. Yay!!! sure it could be fluke, but I am just going to smile and hope that The Hobbit stuff is selling like hot cakes and will spur more support. I am just going to guess that it has to do with the Lake Town Fine cast stuff, I think they are selling more than expected (and less than what they could have done if they made plastic).

Does it have to be DoS Legolas or is an old LOTR model acceptable?

Any Legolas is fine.

We'll see what wins and i'm sure we can find some alternatives so everyone can join in.

Voted Legolas, I like single figure competitions and have loads of Legolas sculpts to paint.

Voted Legolas. Don't know if I'll get my Warbands finished in time for the Feb one and a single mini will be easier. However I may just sit this challenge out altogether as I really need to get properly stuck into my diorama.

I'll see what time I have on my hands... Got Heroes of the West Legolas still sitting around.

Haha I just painted Tauriel for the February painting challenge. Desolation of Smaug Legolas for me.

Had to go with Thrain, as I plan on picking him up soon. It doesn't appear I'm going to get my Warband completed this month either :(

I've gone Thrain.

On a side note, when is the next sculpting and converting likely to happen? I have ots of high elves waiting for conversions...

I voted for Thrain, but not the broken version. I've had the Thrain from about a year ago, with all his red armour sitting on my shelf unpainted since some time last September. Hopefully, along with some Erebor warriors I may receive for my birthday, I will manage to get them painted and based for display by the end of this month. I don't particularly like the red colouration though, so I'm aiming to paint him a dark blue and silver scheme, which can be seen in the concept art for Thrain in TUJ Chronicles Art Book for those that have it (and those that don't, buy it, its brilliant and perfect for reference while painting). The dark blue will also compliment my Young Thorin and create a father-son link in terms of appearance too.

I voted for leggy too, as he's the only one I have from the list and I have been wanting to get my three hunters finished for a while!
