Welcome to the voting thread for the December challenge. Guess we were all busy over the holidays. Here are the entries. |

Only a selection of two excellent miniatures made this very tough and they could have be equal first place however you could only pick one so I went with Thorin. Black can be very hard to highlight correctly and YorcShire has done a great job but a special tip of the hat must be given to the free hand work on Elrond's cloak. |

Only two entries, but still can't choose! Great base and freehand on Elrond, but especially the black on Thorin looks terrific too. |

Great work on both models, the free hand on Elrond is very neat and has won it for me. Nice work on Thorin though, the face and cloak look very natural. |

Wow. Thanks everyone for the votes. I only tried to better my last month's entry which came in last place, and previously I was tied for near last. I was nervous when there were not many entries since it came down to bring last again or first. I am glad to have won, I did not vote this time around. Yorkshire is a solid painter and has good standing in the league so it really could have gone either way. Again, thanks for the votes. First time doing snow and ice too (clear plastic heated over a candle and stretched, cooled, cut and glued, simple). |
