I'm currently painting my 3rd warhammer army, this time i've decided to do a High Elf army. Here's what i've finished so far, next up is a unit of Dragon Princes (i've already finished the horses) and a small unit of 7 swordmasters. The idea with these elves is they've travelled to the Old World in search of an old elven city, hence all the ruins on their bases. |

Usually I'm not a fan of the Warhammer High Elves, but these are simply fantastic. The painting is amazing, as are the bases. I love the lion chariot! |

Thanks everyone I like the elf army, they're different from my other armies. I wanted an elite army that has small units. My other warhammer armies are Orcs and Goblins, and an Ent tree-list wood elf army |

Yeah sure, these are old pics Pics aren't great, but here's my wood elves (mostly trees) I didn't like the wild rider figures, so i converted these fellas. That's a centigor torso. Most of my wizards are centaurs as well This is Orion This is about 75% of my orcs (i've got way too many of those) Closer pic of savage orc unit I did an old school style banner for the black orc standard bearer |

Those are really nice mate You're definately making me want to start my HE army again How does the WE Eagle scale next to LOTR mini's? The face mask is annoying, but I can live with it seeing as its such a nice sculpt. |

They all look great! How long have you been painting? I remember when I started, because some friends talked me into having a game of warhammer again. I used to play warhammer a while ago, but I sold all my figures (they were mostly unpainted anyway, back then i had dwarfs) So i have painted before. I started painting the first orc figures in sept '06, then i moved onto wood elves after they were finished. But i had 2008 off from painting. I was sick of painting green skin by then So, quite a lot of time, i'd say 2 years worth of painting there. @Haldir_Strikes .... I think the WE eagle would be fine with LotR. My only problem with him was i had to cut off all the ivy on his back and resculpt alot of the feathers. Not sure if you'd want ivy on his back? Yeah i feel the same about the head mask, i didn't fancy resulpting his face. If you notice i've changed the direction of his feet as well. Normally they are outstretched as if he's going to catch an animal. Also he's metal, so if you're going to put him on a stand here's a word of advice. Make sure you weigh down the base, i hollowed out the base and packed it with lead so it's not top heavy. |

Nice minis in here! I'm not much of a fan of most high elves but you did a great job. There are some really good stuff there, like the banner dudes. Stunning. That Wood Elf Spellsinger is a great mini. |

Wow! I get dizzy of seeing all together! The elves look great! Nice eagle! But most of all, the banners are a real eyecatcher! Fantastic work! Wish I could paint banners like that!! |

Warriors of Chaos! Like the Treemonic Legion too. Almost tempted to finish mine off. It's a long standing joke in my GW store that even my Wood Elf army has no Elves in it. |

Those bases are amazing. They're resin, right? Where'd you get them? |

Thanks all Raukov wrote: Those bases are amazing. They're resin, right? Where'd you get them?
Yes that's right resin bases. I clipped off the tag, then drilled and pinned the feet to the base. Got them from a company called scribor miniatures |

OK I did some pics of one of my giants. Here he is.... I painted a mini "Wanted" sign, probably written by an Empire Baron wanting revenge on my orc general, 50 gold crowns for his head!! I zoomed in quite alot on this pic (i've found a new button on my digi cam) To give you an idea i measured the wanted sign and it's 1cm long |
