This is my latest project, which I have been working on over Christmas. A magnetised Space Marine Captain / Chapter Master for the 19th Legion, the Raven Guard. I've dubbed him "Edithae" after the Somali Crow/Dwarf Raven, Corvus Edithae. Note that the painting is still WIP. The main piece. Click to: Show The various options. Click to: Show Power Fist and Lightning Claw. Click to: Show Dual Lightning Claws (can be Counts As Shrike). Click to: Show Power Sword and Plasma Pistol. Click to: Show Power Axe and Grav Pistol. Click to: Show Chainsword and Bolt Pistol. Click to: Show Relic Blade/Burning Blade and Storm Shield/Shield Eternal. Click to: Show Thunder Hammer and Storm Shield/Shield Eternal. Click to: Show The base model was a Shadow Captain Korvydae from Forgeworld. http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhammer-40000/Space_Marines/Space_Marine-Infantry-and-Accessories/RAVEN_GUARD_SHADOW_CAPTAIN_KORVYDAE.html Most of the weapons came from the new plastic Vanguard Veterans. http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?prodId=prod2160152a However, the Power Fist, the plasma pistol and the bionic arm holding it came from Forgeworld. http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhammer-40000/Space_Marines/Space_Marine-Infantry-and-Accessories/SPACE_MARINE_CHARACTER_CONVERSION_SET.html The head came from Anvil Industry - second from the left - chosen because of its resemblence to the Raven Guard Primarch, Corax. http://www.anvilindustry.co.uk/index.php?route=product/search&filter_name=hair Click to: Show The magnets also came from Anvil Industry. http://www.anvilindustry.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&filter_name=magnet&product_id=279 |

Cool mini. When I played 40K, I liked to magnetize all of my minis as well, because they are constantly changing the rules for different weapons and making old builds obsolete. I always liked the Raven Guard background but was more of a Dark Angels guy myself. |
