This might sound a little ridiculous, considering how many scales you will have done when the dragon is complete; are you going to put some battle damage on any of the scales - just a few scrapes/gouges to indicate when Smaug had tussled with some hardy opponent? (before toasting and eating them)

 Let's get this straight... You want me to destroy some of my beautiful scales? That I might take a knife to his skin and wreck all that work that took so many hours?

What a great idea!
I hadn't thought about it but will certainly consider it when he's finished. It may make him look even more authentic.

Cheers, Dorthonion. :D

Spot on brilliance Natarn, best I've seen. By the power invested in me by the White Councill of Middle Earth and the Las Vegas Gaming Commission, I now henceforth proclaim you, Natarn the Magnificent, sculptor of dragons, and envy of kings!!

You'll just have to wait for the wings! Everything else comes first, then I'll make and attach the wings. They'll be made of green stuff on a wire armature.

What, you expect me to be patient, haha! Fool :P
So, you're making them straight out of green stuff, no paper or something to put the green stuff on?

I doubt I'll use paper. I've seen a guide on making wings and will be following that, although I'll have to scale it up a bit.

I'll say this, what a monstrous task you have. I, for one, will be anxiously awaiting each and every pic/update. Thank you so much for sharing.
