Ah, just found it! Page 10 of the One Rule Book. It states clearly: "The second result always counts even if it is worse than the first, and no dice can be re-rolled more than once regardless of the source of the re-roll"

But in other wordind it is said that IF THEY DONT MANAGE TO WOUND AT ALL... then they can re roll...

Yes, I get the idea. I'm not a bloody half-wit. Rather, I'm a post-secondary graduate thank you very much :P I explained that there are a few (admittedly younger) players at my local GW (the Canadian HQ, no less!) who think they just roll and roll and roll until the Spider Queen kills everything in sight. Thus far, no one there has been inclined to stop them.

Anyway, I agree with Whafrog's take on the rule and his reasoning. If you get to re-roll every attack she doesn't wound with, she becomes far more efficient and deadly than her 75 points would attest to.

So, wait a minute. If I have a Hasharin, and hes fighting three minas tirith soldiers, and he rolls and kills one. I thought the deal was since the other two didnt wound, i get to re-roll them and have a chance of killing the other two. i know that i only get to re-roll once, but are you guys saying that since the first die wounded then i don't get to re-roll the other two? :?

Some clarification would be appreciated.

it depends on the wording...

If he fails to wound he must re roll...

If ANY of her attacks fail to wound then they must be re-rolled...

But i suppose it doesn't works agains multiple wounded guys...(the re-rolling of Hasharin I mean)

As he failed to wound those two WoMT id say that he can re roll them (the dice ofc :-D ), cause he didnt cause wound to them but lets say against Aragorn he could not, cause he already wounded him
once and failed with other two...

I think it is per model

Ok, something to consider here:

A Hasharin's "Bane of Kings" special rule states
Quote:
Each time a Hasharin strikes a model with a shooting or close combat attack, but fails to wound, he must re-roll the D6.

The Spider Queen's rule is thus:
Quote:
If she fails to wound an enemy model, she must re-roll the dice.

Considering their differing wordings, and the points difference between the models, I'd be inclined to say that the Spider Queen may re-roll only if she doesn't wound at all.

Then how the hell can she only be 75 points?! She has better Fv, higher Strength, one less Attack but one more Wound and more Might and Will than the Hasharin. She's only missing Fate, but still that's about 15 points more than the Hasharin in the profile anyway.

Then she's a Monstrous Mount, and causes Terror to ensure that she charges more often than not. She also has the Hasharin's special rule down pat.

The only thing the Hasharin has over the Spider Queen is the fact that he wears an Elven cloak and cannot be trapped while standing. Unless she's up against a board edge or a chasm, the SQ can't either due to her rule allowing her to move on any type of terrain!

Why doesn't everyone use three of her?!
