Which book did you enjoyed reading most?

Personally I like reading The Hobbit the most, in my opinion it's a much nicer book than LotR, mostly because the trilogy was so serious all the time.

yes, the hobbit had many funny parts, though it is about serious stuff
in lotr are some funny parts, but mainly when the orcs ae fighting each other
the silmarillion is more like an encyclopedia(or how do write it) which is intresting but not easy to read

That makes three of us... I had to read it for school last summer, picked it up, and finished it in 2 days! It basically was what got me into LotR, alongside the movies. :)

Make it four.

I also love The Hobbit, I've read it at least four times and have listened to it also. There's a real magic to the world of The Hobbit that I just love. I love the songs and laughter, but also enjoy the more serious aspect. I get choked up every time I read Thorins death, and when Bilbo says fareweel to them and the mountain. Simply superb stuff. :)

Well, I haven't read the hobbit yet, but i am in the middle of reading The Two Towers, and think it's probally one of the best out of the Fellowship and this. When I read RotK my opinion might change, but only time will tell. And there also seems to be more people voting on the poll than replying to this thread.
