I have another update on the King for you guys :-D

I have painted the thing that goes around his neck green, but it still needs some fixing up. But I have also painted 3 gems on his NMM Crown, also finished the sword in NMM, and done the hair aswell.

Thanks Samoht :D

I started with a basecoat of a mix of 60% Bestial Brown and 40% Dwarf Flesh, then I kept on adding more Dwarf Flesh to the mix until pure Dwarf Flesh. Then, I made a mix of about 40% Elf Flesh and 60% Dwarf Flesh, then continued to add Elf Flesh until the mix was about 75% Elf Flesh and 25% Dwarf Flesh. Finally, I thinned down some Flesh Wash (GW don't sell it anymore, so just mix Scorched Brown and a bit of Dark Flesh with some water added) and applied it over all of the skin 8)

Extremely great work. The green clothe and the cloak are a little too bright in my opinions but the green clothe isn't done yet and the cloak isn't that bright. Clearer pictures would be nice, its done so well it would be a shame to not be able to see the details.

Very nice work, I like the skin! The gems are very good, as always. 8)

Argh you're so lucky to have one of those old kings! And never, ever be sorry for the amount of pics, it's always good to see people's miniatures and the more pics of them the better.

Awesome, thanks Gorgoroth!

I don't have dark flesh so is there another way to mix the flesh wash colour?

Well you could just mix a lightish red colour like Blood Red with a bit of Bestial brown and a touch of Chaos Black 8)

Ogryn Flesh is quite similar to the old flesh wash (but not quite as red) if you have that...
A pot of Dark flesh is a very good investment, though, it lasts for ages and is useful for shading leather and wood as well as skintones, and makes a good basecoat for dark reds as well.

Awesome! I may buy a pot at my next rare visit to GW.

In the mean time you could mix some Bestial Brown with Blood Red 8)

What do you guys think of my NMM? how can I improve?

My next model to paint will be Galadriel, which should arrive in the post either tomorrow or some other day during the week. I will be selling the model on eBay once it's painted, but I don't really want to paint it with just pure white, anyone have some ideas?
