I'm waiting for the Lord of the Rings Part II, and when someone kills Legolas, they will be my favourite character ever.

What if Thranduil kills him in a fit of rage? You'll be rooting for Legolas' inspiration. :P

Being that Middle-earth does not have IVF, turkey basters or surrogacy, I'm quite sure Thranduils 'inspiration' would require an Elven maiden...

Gimli all the way. Sheerly because of his funny comments... his brave courage... and his never ending feuds with Legolas. Come on.. who else would asked to be tossed into a wall of deadly bloodthristy uruk-hai on a narrow bridge. It had to be him!

He only went down the Paths of the Dead because Legolas went first. Less about courage, more about saving face.

The most tragic hero ever. He led the kingdoms of Gondor against the forces of Mordor, was (IMO) the "best" warrior amongst the Fellowship, and died in the most tragic and awesome way I've seen in any movie in a while. And, in the movie, he had easily the best line: "Remember today, little brother." Plus, Sean Bean played him exactly as I had imagined him.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I am speaking of Boromir.

Boromir - great character, warrior, leader.

I still prefer Eomer, but king Under the Mountain was right, Boromir did have the best line -"remember today little brother".

My favorite character from a game is the Predator from the Aliens vs. Predator 2 game, he never backs down or quit a hunt.

Thread Necromancing AND off topic!!! Shame on you  Don't let Gaarew find out

Anyway, seeing as someone else bumped this topic I'll just add my 2c worth: Theoden.
When I first saw the movies I wasn't that drawn to him but the more I watch them the more I enjoy his character and Bernard Hill does an amazing job of acting.

I have many, Faramir, Boromir, Gimli and Eomer, John Rhys-Davies did the best acting in the film for Gimli, the Gondor brothers are just great, and Eomer never gives up, and is kinda the forgotten hero, a bit like Faramir.

Apparently you didn't read the thread title/description...it's about your favorite LOTR character. I don't think Aliens vs. Predator has anything to do with LOTR ;)

Did I already reply to this? Can't remember...

Anyway, my favorite character is Aragorn, followed closely by Boromir.
