Mabye this is the wrong place to post this but it is about miniatures...

I would love to have an watcher in the water.
I saw that GW were selling a set with 6 tentacles in, for only a little money.
I thought: Genius! Until i saw the head/body was not included.

So i think i am gonna buy the set with the tentacles, but
does anyone got a web site/idea where to get the body?
I thought i saw it once on ebay.. but never again alas.

I cant sculpt at all so making my own is not a possibilite...
so is there any buisness who sells it in the right size ( also if possibile with the right form, i.e based on the movie)

remeber i live in Canda.. but european ressources are also welcome since i have relatives there who could bring it to me..

thank you and i am hoping for quick replies...

Well, i have 2 sources of help for you.

1. IN BGiME issue 19 there is a project about making the Watcher in the Water, not sure if it showed you how to make the head but it would be a valuble source of information none-the-less.

2. Ukfreddybear has sculpted this magnificent Watcher in the Water. Maybe you could use it for inspiration if you decide to make one somehow.

And i can't seem to find any for sale online, except one that was 250 EUROs!

I don't think so as it is only a collector's thing. You could make house rules. I'll post it on my house rules thread.

They did include rules for the Watcher in a White Dwarf. They're also in the Best of White Dwarf series, The Two Towers volume.

I did a mould for my Watcher head and produced around twenty plaster casts which I sold on ebay a while back. I still have the mould, but I don't know what condition it is in now after 3 years of non-use. The watcher rules are in UK White Dwarf issue 282. It's a good issue as it also contains the rules for all the different Ent species.

I'll tell you what. I'll try the mould and if it still works I'll send you a PM.

Not long. 1-2 days (if I can remember where my plaster is.)

Another question..... has any one tried the Watcher in the water tentacles from gw?
http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat1600000&prodId=prod1080183 i think they look to thin and... well different from the article that was displayed in the best of white dwarf magasine from the time of the two towers... Has anyone bought the watcher in the water...?

Help would be much appreciated...

Yes the GW tentacles are rather thin and small. I made my own fairly easily. 40mm bases with a wire coming out of the middle, surrounded with putty.

I did an article for it long ago for the old Last Alliance website, but seeing as how that is under construction for the foreseeable future I can email you the article in WORD format if you like?

BTW did you get the cast OK?

Thank you very much Ukfreddybear, i would love to see the article...

I got ,just today, a message from my Grandmother (who you sent it till since i am in Canada at the moment) that it has arrived in good condition.

I will write you a trade replie once i have seen the head myself ( that would be around the 20th of June). However i am sure it is very good indeed.
Thank you again
