I'm in,
I painted Dain, 2 kazad guard, 3 high elf swords and 1 dwarf rangers.

BOUGHT
Elrohir mounted and Glofindel armor on foot to convert to glofindel mounted.

Bloody Oath. I thought it would be easy then Maelstrom send you those emails about "sale now on" n stuff!

Great idea Jonathan. I'd like to join in with my own personal oath if that's okay. I'm a very slow painter and haven't painted in a long time, but my backlog is massive and I NEED to get it smaller, but I always find myself buying new minis, so my target is to only buy a maximum of 1 figure for every 2 I paint (so if I wanted a box of 24 orcs, I'd have to paint 48 other minis first).

This morning I bought a Mad Puppet Minis Scavenger Leader and a Scibor Miniatures Dwarf Chicken Slayer, but I bought them before starting this oath, so I'm not going to count them if that's okay :P

Thanks :)

Can I just clear up on something?

Is there a certain time period for this or is it as simple as we have to post up every now and then what we have bought and painted since our last update?

No time limit...You just can't buy more minis until you paint twice as many from your backlog, so that is what keeps you motivated to paint!

Okay, I completed Aragorn (Attack at Weathertop) and Gothmog (foot & mounted). Since the mounted model counts as two, that allows me to purchase two single models. I just ordered Floi Stonehand and Durburz. The backlog is shrinking, albeit ever so slowly!

I feel an urge to join this for some reason. Even as a total lightweight (with only 300 or so miniatures collected over 7 years), my unfinished 22 Goblins keep coming back to haunt me. That, and about 100 or so of my mini's are in need of a serious re-haul (my Dragon is now falling to pieces after only 4 years of staying intact).

So, I Cal, doth taketh the oath of reducing my backlog of 22 unpainted Goblins, several elves (more than 40 I fear) and repairing (as well as repainting) my Dragon. Once I've finished the Dragon I'll probably cave and by the Cave Drake (+ Balrog Wings).

Cheers, Erunion. It's been a while since I last volunteered myself for something.

I've just started work on the Dragon as of five minutes ago.

Well I have a tremendous backlog, but this oath thingy will do me no good since I basically nearly completed all I wanted to purchase from my wishlist anyways, thanks to GW rushing me to buy all the metal figures before they run out.

And for those of you participating in this thing, I hope you do realise where Erunion may have failed to warn you; if you end up breaking your oath and when you die (hopefully many years from now) you'll become a ghostly spirit until a One-Ring Admin comes to summon you and free you from your living death, so long the website is not broken and still exist.

11 high elves
12 orcs
2 ring wraiths
sulladan on foot.

Went out and bought a box of dwarf warriors.
This is my problem. I get awesome ideas for armies before I finish painting my current legion.
Glorfindel armoured and mounted is now converted and waiting to be painted

Just before this oath I had bought a 'Mordor Chieftain Troll'. Everything I painted this year was from my backlog so this month I started painting the troll.
After the troll I'm going to paint at least one model (one hero or some warriors) of my backlog before buying new miniature(s).
