I assume you'll be entering him in the monster challenge then? 8)

In the last few weeks I have...

- Painted up 12 members of the Grey Company, and an extra Halbarad (the banner was a bit of a bust)

- A mithril adventurer hero
- A Mithril Eowyn
- Two Mithril Elves (representing the same character)
Something Else I can't Remember.

I have not...

Bought anything.

Next up, the other 20 member of the Grey Company!

(Might have to buy a pile of Mithrils in October due to the company running some sort of special pre-order for their next set of Dunlendings)

I'll post all the pictures in the Work in Progress section when I get a chance today.

I have just bought :
Duinhir
Blackroot Vale Command
Forlong
Dunland command
10 warriors of Dunland
Mauhúr's Marauders Command

But traded them all for Frodo wearing the one ring ( base with footprints ) so I guess that doesn't affect my oath right? My sanity maybe but my oath naaah it can't do!

If that is reducing your backlog, then anyone can do it. :)

I hope to jump into the BRO soon. I had to hold off because I was trying to pick up a few things that would have slaughtered me for my first month. I normally lay low for a VERY long time on purchases but managed to snag two unopened Mumuks and two unopened boxes of Wood Elves on ebay for way under cost each win (including free shipping on all but one Mumuk) and am just trying to get thru one monster this month. Not a good ratio to start.

As soon as the last new models arrive though I'll come make my pledge. 8)

I finished the Old Forest, Gollum's Lake, the walls and the Well of Skulls for The Halloween Game plus that plastic GW crappy skull thing this week. I need to work on the small terrain project . I have the two JR buildings to finish. I purchased a new mold and cast it 8 times.

I hereby make my pledge. I had to go thru and account for all my backlog first (or at least as much of it as I could be comfortable finding).

I'm not sure if everything "only counts as one" or if things are weighted. For example, something like:

Infantry = 1
Cav = 2
60mm Monster = 5
Dragon/Mumuk = 10

But basically, here's what I have in my backlog:

Total Heroes / Command: 57
Total Infantry: 280
Total Cavalry: 101
Total Monsters: 4
Total Mumuks: 2

I don't want to look at it like that so I'm going to probably break it out by army and try to focus on each for a month or so and try to wear them down in manageable bits.

Elves
Heroes / Command: 8
Infantry: 78

Ents
Monsters: 2

Rohan
Heroes / Command: 13
Infantry: 21
Cavalry: 49

Gondor / Fellowship
Heroes / Command: 16

Dwarves
Heroes / Command: 6
Infantry: 24

Mordor
Heroes / Command: 5
Infantry: 64
Cavalry: 35
Monsters: 2

Harad
Heroes / Command: 9
Infantry: 93
Cavalry: 17
Mumuks: 2

I understand that!

I have mine sort of segregated by army. Different forces in different piles/boxes. I had already cataloged most of them over time because I need to know what I have available for my future army plans and in case I come across a deal somewhere and need to know if I REALLY need another box of Warg Riders (yeah...I know..."need" has so many levels in this hobby). I really wanted a final count anyway and this was a good excuse. So I just went zone by zone and counted up what I had unpainted and was pretty happy I did. I found that I had more Harad than I expected, for example. And I came across another box worth of Wood Elves misplaced in with some other models (so I can start my Sentinel conversions sooner than I expected).

In the process I realized my actual painted model lists look inaccurate as well but that's for another weekend.

Is it too late to join?
I'll have to purchase some paints to get some models started but other than that, I think I should be set on the models I have. For now.
Hopefully this will slow down the rate of money I spend on these things just to have them sit around screaming to be painted.

Methinks you can jump in at any time Wah Wing. I would jump in now as I've officially sworn off buying any more models until May, but the next couple weeks are going to be busy so I doubt I'll have the time. Although I am pleased to say I've finally finished my Green Knight whose been sitting on my desk waiting since mid-September... Have to work on the Bretonnian Knights first, then I'll tackle the LotR backlog.
