Yep thats right! I personally prefer Busan to Seoul because of the coast but Seoul does contain the majority of action! Yeah most foreigners tend to be english teachers or ship builders here.

I've had a Pizza roll and bite into a cigarette butt. I chewed the filter and figured it tasted odd so I spit it out and ya... a butt.

Ooh, Slythar's post reminds me to something horrible aswell... (well, not as horrible as his experience...)
I was once chewing my piece of bread with chocolat-paste as my first early breakfast... when I was suddenly biting on a half of a skewer (cocktail-stick...).
My stomach turned, as every time I had seen the baker himself walking around in his bakerystore, he had a skewer between his teeth...
So, started my day without breakfast then and never returned to that disgusting baker again.

Liver is horrible... However, I ones ate half of a lobster before someone told me you actually just have to eat the flesh inside.
The most horrible thing that happend here was actually my brother eating a Apfelstrudel (German people, tell me how to write this thing) and bit on.. Glass!
Turned out the whole cake-thinggy was full of glass pieces.
Since then, he refuses to eat anything that has to do with apples or apple-cake

I had once ray's wing on my plate. Usually it's (was) such a delicious fish (imo), but something was wrong with the tast and I didn't really like it. After eating half of it, I found between the two fillets were housing a couple of maggots... Everyone at the table threw his fish away...
Never eaten ray's wing again, if I dare to think about it while eating fish, my hunger is over.

Worst things I've eaten.... well I'm not a fan of borsche and cabbage rolls (Yay for Russian grandfather) but also dislike sushi and sashimi(not 100% sure on spelling).

Absolute worst thing I have ever eaten was an acquaintance's home-made fish chowder with about twelve friends. It was made with all the leftovers from the previous week; corn, peas and carrots (previously thawed then cooked), breaded fish sticks and some kind of creamy soup. It had the consistency, flavour and smell of warmed up puke. It was declared the most disgusting meal ever by the majority of us (13-1) and very little was eaten. I was the unlucky guy who ended up washing the pots where I discovered he had burned the soup and it was stuck to the bottom of the pot. It took me about 30 minutes and a lot of dry heaves. My acquaintence still thinks he made a great meal.

Traditional Dutch "Zuurkool"! (Sauerkraut) That was so bloody disgusting! Really a stringy, bitter stuff, with the consistency car-tyre rubber, so you have to chew it for half an hour...

Not as bad as some of the things I've seen on this thread though.

I once burnt a pizza so bad the entire surface was carbonised (burnt black!). But as a student, I ate it anyway (big dollops of Ketchup made it passable).
Another time, I tried frying some Mexican Fajita flavoured diced chicken, but also carbonised them. I ate it anyway. (The spices I flavoured the chicken were burned into fumes, and almost blinded me ).

(If anyone detects a theme here, I assure you I'm a much better cook now).


Strangely, I ate some fried Garlic snails when my French (language) teacher brought them in to school one day. And quite enjoyed them, much to the disgust of the chavs in the class.

I love pickled octopus! Pickled with wasabi, by preference. And sushi and mushrooms, and blue cheese. Not just like, but I love all these things!

The worst thing I ever ate was my first year in Japan. I spoke the language, more or less, and thought I was the business. Went out on a date to this cool little Japanese place with a (non-Japanese) girl, and ordered the special fresh sashimi. I like sashimi. They brought it to the table, slices of raw fish taken from the fish and then artfully arranged back on the fish, lying a bed of ice. I was thinking it looked awesome, what a cool guy I was. I reached out with my chopsticks when the whole damn thing wriggled like crazy, like something out of a horror movie! The fish was somehow still alive, although all the meat from its flanks had been sliced off and replaced. Both me and her jumped back in fright and squealed like schoolgirls. The fish kept struggling, although it had been pinned in place with a skewer.

But I'd ordered it, and I thought I may never have the chance again to eat something while it fixes me with its fishy gaze, so I did. Was possibly the least comfortable meal in history, although as a date, not so bad in the end.
