From another Rohan player...

First off, you have 33 models and 12 bows, which is illegal. While we are on the topic of bows though, your riders pay for them, so don't bring any foot mounted bowmen unless you have maxed out all your horsemen with bows already, it is throwing away points.

Gamling with the royal banner is a very expensive and very powerful asset. That said, you only have two heroes to affect with him, and one of them is a budget hero at that. By the time everything is said and done, you won't get your bang for the buck you pay to field him with only 2 heroes. I would drop Gamling and your trumpet rider for Erkenbrand who gives +2 courage with his trumpet, and in doing so you have saved yourself 70 points and picked up a combat hero to boot. Use those points to upgrade most if not all your riders to red shields, you will not regret it as long as you remember they have a better fight skill.

From there, if you can, upgrade Eowyn to Grimbold and then further upgrade your footmen to helmingas, another worthwhile investment if you are going to bother fielding footmen. After that, start giving them throwing spears until you are out of points.

This should leave you with a more elite version of Rohan to represent your small numbers better.

Thanks for the help, that makes a lot of sense after all. I was just working with what I had painted, but now that I just got Erkenbrand. He will be the first thing i paint up of this new batch. I have a question is there much a tournament scene for Lotr as I would like to play at throne of skulls in Las Vegas.
