Isengard 500 PT list

So this is the 500 PT list I have put together for my Isengard troops for SBG, not WOTR:

Warband 1:
1 Uruk-Hai Captain
5 Uruk-Hai Warriors w/ Shields 100 PTS
5 Uruk-Hai Warriors w/ Pikes 100 PTS
2 Uruk-Hai Berserkers w/ Two Handed Weapon

Warband 2:
1 Uruk-Hai Shaman
5 Uruk-Hai Warriors w/ Shields
5 Uruk-Hai Warriors w/ Pikes
2 Uruk-Hai Berserkers w/ Two Handed Weapon

Warband 3:
1 Uruk-Hai Banner Carrier
8 Uruk Hai Warriors w/ Crossbows
4 Uruk-Hai Scouts w/ Shields
I'm relatively new to the game so be gentle lol. Any and all advice would be appreciated.

Just a friendly heads up you will need to edit out the points for each specific troop and stick to displaying your points in a warband style system IE:

1 shaman
10 Urkahai
107pts

1 captain
10 urkhai
123pts

something like this so people can't see what each unit is worth. Site Policy I think.

Do you have the new sourcebooks? This list (to be legal) needs more heroes. In the new warband rules, you must have a hero for every 12 troops. Drop the scouts with orcs bows, not worth it (not 5 anyway).

Alright, I've fixed up the list to 3 warbands. I'm planning to buy some more Berserkers and some more valuable Isengard heroes soon, but any advice for now would still be appreciated.

Banners cant lead warbands, they are still normal troops. I'd recommend vrasku and mahur at least for any isengard army. Drop the scouts all together and replace with either beserkers or feral uruks. Also, I'd recommend putting a banner in at least 1 warband but that depends on points.

Thanks for the advice SouthernDunedain, I'll be adding more Berserkers and definitely Vrasku and Mahur when I get the money. I'll also keep the feral uruks under consideration, as they look pretty good. Would you also recommend Ugluk? I definitely think replacing the scouts and adding some more star power to lead my forces.

Not really. He isnt the greatest, only lurtz is worse imho. For similar points you can have a captain who does the same (minus the head chopping) and def 7 rather than def 5. Feral Uruks are basically beserkers without the option to go 2H so it goes down to preference. If you are going to be using 2H weps (and like finecast) then beserkers are for you.

I'm going to come up with something to counter this force now :twisted:

Anyway, can't wait to see what those crossbows are going to do to my squishy elves :rofl:

Really? I thought you could do anything, just so long as you don't actually say "the cost for (...) is X points".
