This is my 500 point army:

Warband 1:
Haldir+bow+armour 80 pts
12 x Wood elf warriors, 4 elf bows, 4 elven blades, 4 elf spears 100 pts
Total = 180 pts

Warband 2:
Rumil 70 pts
12 x Galdhrim wariors, 4 elf bows, 4 elven blades, 4 spears, 3 shields 116 pts
Total = 186 pts

Warband 3:
Legolas+armour 95 pts
4 x wood elf warriors, 4 elven blades 32 pts
Total = 127

Final total = 493 pts

Every LOTR SBG i have played so far ( basically 4 ) i have won all of them. But while playing i feel like i dont use them to their full potential, maube its a bad list or just my terrible dice rolls

Any suggestions?

If you want to minimax:

Don't field any Galadhrim with bows, give that job to the wood elves. You could also give the wood elf bowmen some spears. Cover them with a line of Galadhrim with shields (and spears, unless you want them to just have a hand weapon). Swap out Legolas for a stormcaller, which gives you enough points for a few more warriors. Swap the bladed warriors in the stormcaller's warband for spears, and give throwing daggers to any remaining wood elves with blades.

Eg:
Warband 1:
Haldir+bow+armour 80 pts
9 Wood elf warriors, bow + spear: 90 pts
Total = 170 pts

Warband 2:
Rumil 70 pts
10 Galadhrim warriors, spear + shield: 100 points
Total = 170 pts

Warband 3:
Stormcaller 60 pts
10 Wood elf warriors, spear + throwing dagger: 100 points
Total = 160

You could swap Haldir for Legolas by dropping the spears from warband 1. You could swap a few warriors from warband 3 for wood elves with blades + throwing daggers with no change in cost. You could also try:

Warband 1:
Legolas, armour 95 pts
8 Wood elf warriors, bow: 72 pts
Total = 167 pts

Warband 2:
Rumil 70 pts
8 Galadhrim warriors, spear + shield: 80 points
2 Guards: 24 points
Total = 174 pts

Warband 3:
Stormcaller 60 pts
9 Wood elf warriors, spear + throwing dagger: 90 points
1 Wood elf warrior, throwing dagger: 9 points
Total = 159

Once you've set it up you can mix up your warriors however you like...some people like to spread their bows around...
