The last alliance set comes with 4 numenor, 4 eves with bows and 4 elves with blades.
If I am playing a last alliance themed army, does that mean that I can't use them all at once because of the bow limit in different factions?
If it is, that's a bit silly and a money maker for gw, because people need to buy more or convert the elves to use them all

Back when they came out the high elf spearmen were on the shelves, and also the numenor spearmen and bowmen,so it was easier to build those armies. The plastic set was just a cheap option to boost them. That plastic set needs to be pulled from production and redesigns for both factions.

Yeah, like they'll do that now... But Ranger is right. That box set was made a long time ago now, the second age to be exact and no one now lives who remembers that. It's a shame as High Elves are great and have lots of epic heroes. If they released a 12 model box of High Elves, it's all I'd buy (along with Elrond, the Twins etc...). They won't though. Although looking forward to the Rivendell cavalry!

Yeah I know I've got about 80 high elves from eBay and 16 from gw (along with 8 men of numenor)
I got elrond and Gil Galad from gw because I couldn't find them anywhere else, but I got the twins, glorfindel and Gildor from eBay as well
When looking for high elves, always remember that eBay is your best friend

That army is going to look awesome! Good luck painting them all though, I got 8 High Elves about 3 months ago and I'm still going!

I've only painted the 16 from gw, but 40 from eBay are already painted, so they'll do for now, until I get round to my last 40
I'll be converting lots of them into spearmen and a few into captains using ukfb's guide
