I'm trying hard to get up to date with all my reviews of the new releases for The Hobbit, this one is a bit late as the models were released way back in December 2012... The Hunter Orcs..

Just click the link from my site's front page here.

Any comments or feedback always welcome.

Thank you for reading :)

Nice review. I don't like those models at all though, they look weird to me, somewhat out of proportion. But hey, that's just me.

Keep making reviews, you do it well :)

I agree with Sanguinis. For me these rank up there amongst the worst sculpted figures in the entire range, but your website is amongst one of the most useful. Well done 8)

Nice review, but what I was looking for,and would have found useful is a size comparison with some other, easy to acquire miniatures like a Gondorian on foot, or a new goblin, etc.

I was going to add a comparison photo of one of the Hunter Orcs with one of the older Mordor Orcs... I'll add one over the weekend :)

I think the hunter orcs look great. The only thing I don't think is amazing are their swords...

Not really about hunter orcs, but some of the white dwarf links are down.

Thanks LordElrond

Ps. Please fix ASAP

Good review but, like everyone else, to me they just look goofy!

The White Dwarf "index" is being updated at the moment, I'm working on getting it completed as soon as I can, a year get's posted about every month :) If you need to know anything about a particular issue just PM me, I'm sure I'll be able to answer it :)

The Hunter Orcs are definatly not my favourite models from the range but I don't dislike them, the kinda remind me of the Houron indians from Last of the Mohicans (sp) very savage :)

I might just ask it in here,
are you in need of pictures of certain miniatures of content of WD issues?

As promised, the Hunter Orc compared with one of the Goblin Town Goblins (left) and one of the original The Lord of the Rings Mordor Orc (right).... :)

Wow, you can tell the level of detail on these plastic figures has increased a lot since the orcs were released. The hunter orc's also look quite thin from that pic...

Yeah they are a little thinner than the Mordor Orcs but like you say far more detailed :)

There are some miniatures you don't have,
do you want me and others to supply pictures of those miniatures?
Or do you only want pictures of miniatures you own?

I think they look thin because they are quite bare while the mordor orc has quite baggy pants on. Glad to see how quality has improved.
