Is this Adepticon worthy? Hopefully I'm going to this Adepticon this year so I would appreciate if someone who went or ran a tournament could tell me how well this list could do.

hmm not sure really.... 4+ standing 5+ on the move, I think better are citadel guards with longbow, well armoured good shooting value and still the bodyguard rule.

Soo lets me think

1st warband group of captain and 12 warriors do the front blocking wall
2nd warband group its like auxiliary, good a bit all round munition depending on your needs to strengthen the main wall, also a flanking group
3rd group is the more range elitist group staying back shooting and managing the rear of the army providing support to front and flank pickig outsiders and stranglers or least slow down wall breach models or cavalry
Aragorn in bettewn to handle the holes and slice up hordes on models and invoke heroic actions pretty much often to boost your might supply.

Hard choice but the balance of a MT army is there....
Although I like the numbers and the planning, you lack on offensive units, the so called wall breachers like knights to go into a flank and punch a hole through enemy army.
One of your warbands might get into big trouble if you get harassed by big units of cavalry like cheap orc captain and warg riders, and far worst if you get train hit by morgul knights and alike, hope aragorn is in there when then happen. and remember if this is your final thought, keep em together if you see amass of knights.
Or give a unit a full elitist bodyguard type with superior fight, like fountain guards with shields or such... they wont be twelve but if you afford 8 to 10 would be great I think, all defence 7 fight 4 and spears and bodyguard rule.

I do think something is really lacking here on the core...

Thanks for your advice. Well next Saturday I am play testing this list. What could be changed besides adding in knights?

Perhaps replace those MT with bow on denethor´s group with rangers... slightly less armour but better shooting and fight value.
Or get denethor in the flank side group since hes still decent with defence 5 and fight 5 for being cheap.

Ok. Should I add the citadel guards to the 2nd warband and have denethor's warband as shooting?

I dont have the book here with me.. but maybe

1 solid block way it is
Denethor group is the elitist flanking for melee with better fight value
1 cappy in the back with the rangers...

I wanted to try Aragorn with an elven cloak and I was trying to fit numbers as well. Where should i put the guards with the 2nd warband and move denethor in there and move the captain to the all shooting? Is that what you are saying?

Get denethor to the best fighting group, take a chance on his fight 5 or instead replace a captain for a king well armoured, fight 5 boost your lines alot

Defence 6 or 7 on the King? I'm at 35 models now with the switching around is that good even for a big tournament?

If you are not going to mount Aragorn then may I suggest you think about having him lead a small contingent of Arnor warriors? They are fight 4, defence 6, and cost a point less than a minas tirith warrior with a shield and spear despite having the same wargear.

I do warn you evil armies will be dwimmerlaik alot, they will keep him cheap so he just benefit with his skill, if scum enough they might even try also the shadow lord.

As long as frodo is alive his warband automatically passes courage tests.

its a tricky rule :P

Mostly useless as it is except if you face hobbit army in there lol and if the hobbits got gandalf with terror, this can be somesort usefull XD

The protect the ringbearer rule only applies if Frodo is in you force.
