Such a shame about that grainy finish because this is a truly excellent piece. The painting is great with subtle changes in colour and the base is exceptional.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate the feedback.
DMS, assuming these are the plants you're talking about, I actually got them from these plastic trees. I just cut off each "layer" and glued 'em on. I also painted them some to make try and make them look less plasticy.

Thanks again!

Excellent little conversion. I suppose that's an Kataphrakt arm?
He looks to be a very suitable Captain, or with some more conversion, King! 8)

Lovely diorama of Galadriel and I like the Easterling conversion a lot.

I am not sure if it's due to the white tack that you have used, but the right arm looks considerably larger than the left one.
Or does it look that way only from this specific angle?

Thanks all! It is indeed a kataphrakt arm, and it probably is larger than the left, but I think it looks worse in the pictures than it really is.
I'm currently working on some haradrim, I was originally going to enter them in this months challenge, but they are taking much longer than I expected, so I don't think I'll be able to enter this one. So far I have finished one.

Nice colour scheme. If you had said brown and blue I would have said no, but seeing them together like this is a definite yes.

Thanks guys! Chreddar, I used Bestle Brown, Bubonic Brown, Leprous Brown, and white. Maybe a little Dark Flesh in the darkest parts.
So I got some of the new technical paints to try out and here are my results,a swell as another haradrim warrior which I also used the new paints on.

The green on the spear is to simulate a poison smeared spear tip. I used the rest and blood ones on the goblin. I really like the grit on the wash-like one(sorry can't remember names). I used the turquoise one on the haradrims armor,as well as the others. I did also get the cracking ground one which I really like, but I don't have a pic of it yet.
More haradrim coming soon!

Nice pics!

I agree, the new paints are great fun. I've been going back to older minis and seeing where I can use them. :D

The Haradhrim are quite stunning - the bright blue is very distinctive and not out of context (I have seen colours like this in some desert cultures). The wickerwork looks fabulous. very well done.

Thanks you Dorth :) I've had a lot of fun painting them.
Just two days ago I found out that one of my best friends died in an accident. Things are a little rough right now, so I may not be doing a whole lot of painting for a little while. But for now I'll leave you with the finished raider minus the base.
