Hey everybody,

This seems like a great site. I am James from Ireland and I have been war gaming for twenty-one years now.

I started with Hero Quest and moved my way into Warhammer from there. I have only just stopped playing Games Workshop games in favour of games like Infinity, Godslayer and Malifaux. However, I just couldn't stay away from their LOTR range, it's a fantastic game with fantastic models.

I am currently working on a Grey Company force and I will post pictures as soon as I can figure out how to take good ones.

Welcome! Like you I started with HeroQuest (still bring it out every now and then). You made me feel quite old then as I hadn't realised that it was over 20 years since it came out! I guess I've also been obsessed with miniatures for 20-something years...

Thanks for the welcomes everybody.

We James' are a breed apart; handsome and charming.

Ah, a Kildare man, I am from County Derry myself.

We are getting old Cuchulain (nice name) I think it is the 25th anniversary for Hero Quest next year.

Brilliant Dorthonion. I am a County Derry man myself, I'm from Maghera.

We should arrange a game sometime.

Ah yes was wondering whether or not you'd work it out! I guess the username is a big give away! Anyway about time you joined up, does this mean there will be a few upcoming Hobbit games down at Maghera Gaming Guild? It better

Lol. Yeah, there couldn't be too many war gamers in Ardboe. It is mostly Infinity at the minute, but myself and one other guy are getting into this again.

There is a crowd called Hangar 18 who meet in the Millennium Forum on Saturdays - I have been meaning to go up and scare them for a while but haven't had the time - here's a link to their site:

They even appear to have Darryl from Beasts of War!
