Army size and points sizes

How big do you you think is right for each points size? I lean towards 1 for every 250pts for good, 2 for every 300pts with evil, with a bigish hero if I can fit them in, banner if I have full warbands.

I mean how many warbands in an ar,y at certain points levels.

Depends entirely on what force you're bringing. Armies range from huge goblin hordes to monster armies with only a few models!

With good it depends a lot... You have many different factions whose basic troops and heroes cost a lot more than others. For Elves I'd say around 1 Warband for 250, Men 3 for 500, Dwarves can go with 1 for 250 with elites for 3 for 500 with basic troops and heroes (I find 1 for 200 is a nice balance). Hobbits - 5+ for 500.

For bad:
Isengard 1 for 200 works nice, moria 1 for 100 or a couple + monsters, and most of the rest 3 for 500.

What about mixed armies, ie men with either elves or Dwarves?

You can get lothloreien and mirkwood warbands for 200pts.
