There's only one pose of Gildor. And he's drawing his blade, it's not yet out

Just google "gw gildor," he isn't on gw's website any more which means either a.) they're done with him. Or b.) he'll be finecast soon. I mean high quality resin, as finecast as we know it is no longer made by gw ;)

He has been OOP for a while now, he won't be released in resin.

pretty rare, there was a period of time where he was frequently fetching £30-£40 on ebay but now he seems to have dropped off. I think people realised he wasnt actually that good.

Agreed. Gildor's a combat hero with D4 and no option for shielding = a waste of points

I'm a huge gildor fan. He pumps up your woodelfs' speed to 8, and he has 4 will. Use him as a light infintry capt. Immobilize big bads then charge in with a group of noldor exiles, use what throwing weapons you can, the hack the bad to bits. I don't use gildor to fight other heroes. He really isn't suited for that. He is quite good at hunting down warriors though.

He isn't a waste of points at all. Much like the other spells available to the Elves, it is all about causing disruption. Nature's wrath and Call Winds can be used to neutralise monsters and other characters while you take care of troops or take out other important targets. Gildor does the same thing using immobilise.

Yes, he can be difficult to use as he is designed more for an archer force, but if you can place them near some woods they should be uncatchable. Works great in combination with eagles to immobilise then fly in and rend/hurl. It gets you the power you want in a wizard without having to pay the full price.
