Loving your work. Very natural looking wood and the thread is very inspiring.

Well once again I am waiting on items I ordered. This time from Tabletop World. Over a month ago...and no communication from them.

Has anyone ordered from them before?

Wow... can we see what your storage boxes are going to be like?
Anything of such nice quality must have an equally impressive storage box.

Will you put white sticky labels on the box too?

Yes I am jealous of your very pro looking work space. Especially loving the organised and labeled storage drawers.

:-)

Dior...haha....thanks. I have a bit of a problem with labeling :) A neat work space is a happy workspace? I think that is what they say.

I have been taking everyone's suggestions about my roofs to heart and have been working on making them better.

Not sure if I got it yet....but I think this is a major improvement.

I painted it a light tan.....added a dark grey wash.....then painted some individual shingles a darker color....followed by several washes of brown....then a final wash of dark grey. Finally I dry brushed the original base coat.

Thoughts? Criticisms welcome!

Very nice, worth the extra work. The only suggestion I would have is maybe is that they are a little too clean? Add some green moss or dirt weathering maybe?

Much much better. A little green here and there will help to give a weathered look.
On the above photo - the ridge tiles in the middle of the picture. If you look at the join of each tile the area is still bright when it should be dark, add the green there.

Took some of the advice given here and I have been working on detailing the buildings more, adding dirt, filth, mold, etc. I am learning as I go, checking reference pics as often as I can.

I am happy with the progress on this one so far. Still need to add more and work on the roof (which only has a basecoat and 2 washes on it).

Comments and critiques are welcome!

Looking nice! I know how hard it is to take a nice new painted model and make it look dirty, but the overall look makes a difference. My problem now is when I go for a walk I am always looking at the ground trying to see what I can use or looking at buildings to see where the wear and tear is.
