Thanks for the compliments.Things should progress faster as I understand more of the details and decide what to include.

Image

Some of the details are on the set but not in the drawings. When I decide how to make the transition things will speed up.

Image

The blocks on the removable roof are to heavy for form board I will re do it with MDF. I will shape some of the foam blocks outside when it stops raining.Dangerous fumes!

Image

I will move the door one inch to the right.

I made some arbitrary decisions when I began. The cheap material allows me to make changes. I made some of the floors 4 inches wide. Making them 3 inches will save hundreds of blocks.I am not certain of how it will look.

Image

I like this drawing. I will incorporate some of the features into the left side.
I am going to make a change to the base because I know where the door goes.

I decided not to use #200 for the wall texture.

Image

Drywall filler instead.

Foam buttress.

I will work on the door ways next.

The scale of your pieces always impress me. Looking forward to seeing its completion.

I finished the dollhouse so I have time to go back to this model.

I watched the DVD twice. With an eye to the model. I am going to make some changes. Some of the details I have been working on did not make the movie. I picked up some more cast from a Hirst Arts friend who has been casting to help out. He wants me to work on the Hill of Sorcery judging by what he concentrated on casting

I am going to spend some time on the drawing table so no new photos today

Well, it is not often good to have to take a step backward on a project so I can sympathize. But at the same time if you are making something you will be more happy with and more accurate then it is a positive, and you have an extra block maker which should help a little. So hold on to those positives and we will be awaiting the next update.

You must have bags and bags of cast bricks that you haven't used yet.
Do you find that there are some things you would love a cast for ? Or have you made your own to cover this ?

I do have a supply to work from.

Image

I recycle the bricks when I make mistakes. This is the old base. I soaked the bricks off in a bucket of water.

Image

I work with other enthusiasts to create custom molds.

Image

I created this set to speed up The Hill of Sorcery. Mike has cast these for months. He really wants me to start work on that.

I am waiting on the the new Chronicals book and the expanded DVD to decide on the details. I had good photos of the set for the right side but not the left. I needed the space for some small projects so I put the project aside for a while.
