Last week I supported my Hobbit hobby by playing a large game in a GW store. It was the first game there in a while, but we now have a little bit of a group going in NC, so we might be able to get some more people in the game. We also got to use the managers personal Helm's Deep gate/wall. It was pretty good. I only bought some paints after that.

Last week I took part in an SBG tournament in GW Dublin. 10 people turned up. Now that staff know that there's a decent playerbase they're going to try and call us up when they're organising something and try and push SBG better.

Well, Im planning a lot for my upcoming tournament.

In unrelated support though I placed an order with Element games for the New Bolg, Dwalin, Balin, Thorin, Bilbo, and Oin.

Also picked up a bunch of bases.

Got Mauhur, Imrahil and Knights of Dol Amroth today, as well as played a game in the local GW store. My friends also got some stuff, but I'm not entirely sure what.

I finally Bought some Corsairs. After years of telling myself that pirates don't fit the style of Middle earth, even though I liked some of the sculpts. I bought them used from a fellow gamer (supporting my fellows hobby funds) and still paid about retail price for them (a bit more than I would have paid if I bought them when they were released). I did not buy any of the metal models and still can tell myself I don't need pirates in my collection, but these guys will look great as Lake town men.

Thanks SD. it arrived today and i'm pleased to bits with it, been after one for years.
Its in really good condition and the paint on it is not thick so i think i will get away with a grey undercoat and then start painting

I finally finished up my Swan Knights. All metal. Now I hope to start up my Uruk-Hai so when my nephews visit in a few months we can do some really tiny skirmishes to get at least one of them into it. The middle one just fell in love with the films so... there's hope!!
