Best thing to do is PM Ukfreddybear, just had alook on the Shadow & Flame site and they are not on there, the Dwarf on Pony is and thats well worth getting, link - http://www.shadowandflame.co.uk/#!shop-1/caqe

Noch Gaugemaster about £12 from my local modelshop in Frome -

This is easliy the best model shop in the world, its floor to ceiling models and paints, glues and all the stuff thats hard to find, you can easliy lose hours looking around, if you are ever near it, go in you wont be disapointed.

Thanks for the link. It's the one thing I can't do, have a decent model shop to browse and see how things look in your hands before you buy.

Decent model shops are getting harder to find, internet sales i guess. Shame really, i try to buy everything I can from them as it would be terrible if they close, they are always busy which is a good sign.

Managed to get hold of this rare recently thanks to DMS. It was not released for sale but one put into each shop for gaming/display purposes.

Did a bit of work on the "Half a Weather Top" with the airbrush, this is about 10 shades of grey from black through to white, the photo does not really show the shading i have left in. I'm trying to get it to the same stage my other "full" version is at so i can detail them at the same time.

Another project under way is Radagast on Sleigh, i want to make the base a real feature so thought i would have the Rabbits jumping a small stream

Thanks for looking

Definately jealous of the Weathertop, it's a stunning piece. The greys are taking shape nicely and I will watch with interest.
What are your plans for further colours ?
The base for Radagast looks an excellent concept. I'm a little concerned about the plaster flows that can be seen, what are you going to do here ? I would have thought you would have worked the, before painting but there may be a plan I'm not aware of.
Watching with interest.

I can see a competition coming... Best Bubblewrapped Item.

Weathertop being so huge, he's bound to win... oh wait, Smaug is bigger.

I undercoat the plaster before adding grit and cork boulders then seal in with paint by brush, i find the binder in the brush painter holds the grit in place better than the binder in air brush paint which i weaker.

So now -

Plaster flows left in the water section so when painted it will look like water movement :-D

With Weather Top i will start to use powder colours dissolved in Artist Oil solvent to add effects, abit like this (still WIP) on the main whole piece -

Damn good work mate. I'm glad Radagast base is ok, I love he way it's looking.
Weathertop is getting nicely weathered. Are you planning some greens ? I find these really help in giving the right feel.

The detritus and grit around the base is very effective - it looks absolutely real!

Done abit more on the Radagast Sleigh, really enjoying making and painting this one, its a real fun model that's brilliantly sculpted, gives a sense of movement. It's no where near finished yet.

Incredible works.
The Sleigh base is stunning, a great idea to put the river in the middle of the jump.
Very nice all and very good painting, congratulations.

Awesome idea on the Rabbit sleigh base to give it more substance.
Good work scoring the weathertop, looks like a great piece.
