I'm happy with it for the most part, there are things that for sure could be better, but I think it'll be a solid competitor this month.

Superb yellow mate. I truly hope people realise how difficult yellow is to shade and highlight as that alone makes this a very strong contender.

Excellent work...I always admire the talented painters here that can also go outside the GW color scheme and successfully execute a original and striking version. I'm such a traditionalist myself, I have trouble looking past the established color palettes and finding another take on classic colors and schemes, but seeing this excellent blue and yellow cloak and the shield also is quite inspiring - nice work !

Thanks all! I'm really glad you guys like it, I hope to do some Rohan Royal guard in the same scheme and hopefully they'll look just as good. For now, I've based a few models, and started on another Easterling.

I decided to leave the Rohan warrior as is, mostly because it looks a little smoother irl, and I'm happy with how it looks.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, school's been keeping me busy. I did manage to get this guy finished though.

Overall I'm happy with it, but I think I'll do a few things different on the other two.

I just realized that I never posted these pics of some minis I painted a few weeks ago. They're just waiting to be based, but the painting is all done.

Ooh, really liking that haradrim. Both the scheme, and how you've painted him. The blade on hi spear stands out to me, nice use of shading to give it depth. On the easterling I like the shield's grey and yellow opposing bits, though I think the contrast could be built up more to give it a bit more pop. The bottom grey triangle has better contrast than the top one, but the blending is not as smooth, whereas the bottom yellow one has smooth blending, but could use more contrast.

Just some thoughts. Keep up the great work!

Easterlings will always be my favourite however I like what you have done with the Haradrim, a real desert vibe.

theavenger001, thanks for the tip! The shield was a pain to paint, which is why it's not quiet on par with the rest of the mini. I'll try and fix it before I base it though, and hopefully it comes out a bit better.

Here is another blue and yellow Rohan warrior.

It's not the prettiest freehand ever, but i think it turned out pretty good. Just need to put the shield on and base it.

Here it is all finished along with the haradrim warrior. I also wanted to see what all my blue and yellow Rohan warriors looked like together so I took a quick group shot of them.

Not as impressive as a Goldeb Demon entry, but I hope you all like them!

Thanks! I'm glad you guys like it. Here is a small update, I painted these guys up a while ago but never based them. I also redid three of the cloaked because before they looked plain and dull. I also added some blood and rust.

The swordsorc on the left was finished a long time ago, I added it to show what they looked like before.

Black shields look great. I loved those models, built a nice force of them while they were super cheap. The rust is nice effect too.

Thanks! Here is a quick update, been messing with checkers again.

Right now the pattern is at the point where it looks great from a short distance, but looks rough close up. The picture makes it look worse than it really is though.
