The dice are totally unexpected. I was hoping for black and silver Minas Tirith dice with the white tree, but these are pretty cool and I will probably buy a set.

I am surprised to see the Legendary Armies in this book. I honestly thought this would be a Q2 release to supplement the main rule book. I'm not sure how I feel about inclusion in the main books. Historically, it makes sense, as the blue supplement books from the past did sort of include historic forces and suggested armies. Part of me wants another Battle Companies sized book with all the Legendary Armies in one place. Maybe they'll pull a 40K and reprint them all in one volume in the future, probably just before going to another edition.

What might the surprises that are mentioned to be in the GAW book be? Any chance we get Brand and lists for the northern fractions? The battles there do take place at the same time as the Gondor battles and there is quite an army list gap there. I really do not hope that the 'surprise' would be more corsairs or something like that, as they directly fought in Gondor at the time and their appearance hardly would surprise anyone.

Isildur's brother? Yes that would be surprising. Would he not be more suited for a last alliance book?

Numenor was comprised of Gondor and Arnor, and he was mentioned in the armies of the LOTR book.

But the theme of GAT will be the gondorian battles during the war of the ring, and not just any gondorian battles, right?

Yes. It is supposed to be just the war of the ring era Gondor.

Be interesting. There was talk on the stream of it covering the pelannor once again, so it would be nice to see some new rohan heroes, maybe an elfhelm profile?

Maybe new fiefdoms releases. They were big players in the books.

Are there any evil heroes that they could possibly introduce ? There was a named Khandish King in a previous supplement but I don't believe that he was given his own rules in the end.

I scoured the images and there are no spoilers of new heroes or units in the pictures or the text. Guess we'll have to wait until tomorrow.

We got Minas Tirith dice with the white tree back when The Return of the King came out. I think they were kind of blue and black marbled.

I'm not sure I like these new green dice, to be honest. They do look like Weta dice, but they don't really scream Tolkien to me, if you know what I'm saying.

Actually, first pick looks like new Fiefdoms mold.

I missed the boat on these years ago and would love a re-release.

It looks like we get new profiles, but might have to wait a bit longer for the models to accompany them. I'd totally spring for a Dernhelm/Eowyn and Merry mounted model. Eowyn is probably my favorite character. The book, dice and Three Hunters are up to order this weekend. Nothing else is mentioned.
