Sculpted some more spines last night, with scales on the neck. This afternoon I did a bit more work on Smaug's tail.

I've been working on the tail. This is what I've done so far on this side. The other side still needs to be sculpted.

I don't think the Almighty Creator in Heaven would have spent this much time and effort perfecting a Dragon. Perhaps that's why they don't exist today. Because they take too freaking long to make! :roll:

Great job on the rear end and the underside, each scale flows into the next and the incredible thing is none of them look alike :shock:

I've done about 60% of the scale sculpting, I guess.

The spines that line the belly plates and the spine itself will gradually get smaller. I'm not totally sure yet what it will look like. I'm imagining a smoothish ending rather than a spiky one.
