Hey, well this is now my second attempt at getting help for making an army.
there is a tournament coming up and i need to put in my army list soon.

I really want to join, but my wotr rulebook hasnt arrived yet (it should be here in the next couple days), so i really need help with this (and kinda use it as a template for other lists)

I have:
Durburz
goblin captain
goblin captain with bow
4 cave trolls
BALROG
14c of goblins (sh)
8c of goblins (bw)
shaman
3c of wild wargs (i could take the riders of 2 of the warg riders with bows to get another company)

uruk scouts (8 plain, 8sh, 8bw)
sharku
3c warg riders (bw)
2c warg riders (throwing weapons) (and i have 1 that also has a shield)
witch king (foot and fell beast)
shadow lord (foot and horse)
5 generic ringwraiths on foot

i might be able to get 24 more wild wargs and a dragon but i wouldnt count on it..

So pleeeeease help

ps: should i get a dragon?

pts... look at the title.. and i dont buy directly off GW cause its really expensive, i buy from ebay. so pretty much anything that i have not already mentioned i cant get in time

i know what things i should buy, its the making of the list that i need help on

I myself would take the goblins as 3 companies each and then "upgrade" one of the goblin formations to Gunabads. Otherwise, it seems good.

why doesnt anyone take shields on the goblins??

also:
i can probably only get up to 3c of wargs

And i can only get up to 4c of warg riders with bows (i have 6 warg riders with bows, and a 7th that needs to be stuck on the warg and sharku taking up the last place)

and i can stuff 2 more Companies of goblins if i need to.

about the gundabads, can you proxy them with goblins that have a different paint scheme?
@spuds4ever - so you mean take 2f of 3c goblins and then 1f of 6c of gundarbads?

and no, i can prozy a generic ringwriath as a named one, but i have the shadowlord(foot and mounted) and the witchking(foot and fell beast)


PS: should i get a dragon. they look realy cool and i would be fun to field lots of monsters

oh, and actually i cant get both 4c of warg riders and 3c of wargs as i have 5 wargs and 6warg riders, i have this one warg that was a warg rider and so he is the one that i can make into a warg or warg rider....

and why dont ppl take sheilds on the goblins? and if i didnt take the shields, would i have to have them all off when i play?

Normally we would but General Elessar's army was pretty good (nice one George ) and then wasn't really any points' room to give both formations shields.

Actually, I think shields are a must but I mistakenly thought that Goblins come with them automatically.

Ok, so, we'll drop a Warg Pack (which we have to anyways) and you'll be able to give one of the six company Goblin Warbands shields. So, can you get six Wargs and nine Warg Riders (with throwing weapons and either bows or shields)?

with sharkus guys, do they all have to have the same wargear? if so then i can only make 3c of throwing weapons or 3c of bows

and arent the cave trolls 75pts?

also, where will durburz and the nazgul be? in the same formation of goblins?(with shields)

For the Warg Riders, you should be able to mix those armed with throwing weapons and those armed with bows, as they're equipped with both.

And yeah, the trolls are 75pts, I was thinking SBG...

You can move the Epic Heroes between formations during the game, so it doesn't matter too much where you put them.

also is there anyway we can get sheilds for the goblins? there is 10pts from the cave trolls.... and should we drop a company of bows for shields??

oh and i got the DRAGON!!!!

i would like to have another list that has both the dragon and the balorg just for the fun of it (well id love to try them out at the same time at the tournament!!), could we drop sharkus guys and a troll? not sure how much we'll need to drop to get him in as well...

sorry about the double post but i may have made a big mistake, for goblins companies what do they look like.
let me clear that up, for a goblin company with shields, are all 8 models shields? i thought that the 4 up front had shields and the back 4 had spears....

i need someone to clear this up quickly, as i have to submit my list tomorrow

ok so i called them and all the warg riders have to have the same weapons, so its either bows(3companies) or throwing weapons (3 companies)(but i would prefer bows)

also, i cant go over on the points, so the list has to be redone a bit....

there should be 20pts left over, but i have run out of goblin troops

ok so i modified the list because of the above reasons and put in the balrog, because there is a chance that my dragon wont arrive in time, and rescaled the warg riders to what i have(they are 45pts per company right?), so then i had 60pts remaining and i thought i would get more goblins with that, but now i want to know, how much is a captain? as i could put him in a group for at the doubles


oh and THIS IS URGENT, as i have to put my list in at the end of the day (its 10:25am now)

and my WOTR book arrived today!!!!! although the fell beast that also came was smashed up but hopefully fixable



and i just checked the cost of sharkus hunters.. and i have and they cost more than what i thought so.. more editing (i can edit ur list even when its submitted)


so this is what ill change: the 8c goblins is now 7c and sharku's guys no longer have bows, so total is 1495pts.

any more advice?

Looks fine but I'd be tempted to swap one formation of gobbos w. shields for Gunabads.

As for advice, just play as many games as possible, and make sure you're clear with the rules (especially the charge phase).
